    1. Identify rare tumor syndromes

    2026 Coding and Updates in Dermatology

    1. Describe current annual payer policies and documentation requirements that support medical necessity for dermatologic services.
    2. Apply payer policies and documentation guidelines to dermatology services to promote accurate coding and minimize denials.
    3. Identify and select appropriate codes for common dermatologic procedures and diagnoses.

    High-Risk Squamous Cell Carcinoma

    1. Utilize appropriate tools to predict clinical outcomes for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
    2. Describe the utility of neoadjuvant and adjuvant immunotherapy for high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
    3. Recognize when adjuvant radiation therapy should be considered for high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.


    Hidradenitis Suppurativa: 

    1. Identify clinical indications and patient selection criteria for deroofing in the management of hidradenitis suppurativa.
    2. Describe the procedural steps of deroofing, including operative technique, peri-procedural management, and wound care.
    3. Discuss expected recovery timelines, wound healing, and typical outpatient logistics associated with deroofing procedures.
    4. Compare deroofing with alternative surgical approaches for hidradenitis suppurativa.

    Getting There from Here: Surgical and Pathology Pearls

    1. Optimize techniques for special site biopsies.
    2. Utilize uncommon suture and closure techniques in difficult situations. 
    3. Better understand and decipher cutting-edge pathology reports.
